Ms. Lisa

Hi, I’m Lisa Smith, and I am so grateful to be celebrating three plus years with the Augustana Early Learning Center (AELC)! As a lifelong church member of Augustana—where I grew up attending Sunday school and singing in the Cherubs and Chancel Choirs—serving here alongside our wonderful directors and teaching staff over the past three years has been deeply rewarding.

Before joining AELC, I earned a BS in Business Administration from UC Denver and built a career in human resources and benefits within the insurance and oil and gas industries. Bringing that background into early childhood education has been a fantastic transition, and my favorite part of the past three years has been building relationships with our dedicated staff and wonderful AELC children and families.

As a native Coloradan, I still get teased for not being a skier! Instead, you’ll usually find me spending my spare time hiking, gardening, or picking up matches on the pickleball court with friends and family.
