What is the experience level of your teaching staff?
AELC is proud to employ a highly experienced, diverse team of early childhood educators:
Veteran Teachers: Many of our teachers have 25–30+ years of ECE experience, including some who have been part of AELC for over 28 years.
New Talent: We also welcome new teachers eager to grow in the field of quality early childhood education.
This blend of longevity and fresh perspectives enriches our Creative Curriculum-aligned classrooms and supports a strong, nurturing learning environment. Please check out our Teams page for teacher bios.
How does AELC ensure consistency and support in the classroom?
Consistency is essential in early childhood education, and we achieve it through:
Co-Teaching Model: Every classroom includes two teachers, ensuring children receive continuous support, individualized attention, and high-quality instruction.
Dedicated Support Staff: Our support teachers float between rooms, getting to know every child. This allows for seamless coverage when a teacher is out while maintaining familiar routines.
This structure supports our commitment to quality ECE, reflected in our Colorado Shines Level 4 rating. Learn more about our approach on the About Us page.
How do you communicate with parents?
AELC keeps families informed and connected through several channels:
Monthly Newsletter: School-wide updates and important reminders.
Procare Teacher Updates: Daily or weekly notes (age-dependent), often including photos.
Procare Admin Announcements: Quick updates, reminders, and school alerts.
Email: For longer-form communication or important information.
What disciplinary program does AELC utilize?
AELC integrates Conscious Discipline, a leading social–emotional learning framework rooted in brain science and highly effective in early childhood education.
Key Benefits of Conscious Discipline in ECE
Supports Self-Regulation: Tools like S.T.A.R. breathing and Safe Places teach children to manage emotions independently.
Builds Connection: Teachers create a secure “School Family” environment that fosters cooperation and learning.
Teaches Problem-Solving: Conflicts become learning opportunities where children identify feelings and practice resolution skills.
Empowers Teachers: Educators model composure and emotional awareness.
